Spode inkwell

An English porcelain double inkwell, almost certainly Spode, modelled in the shape of a basket with carrying handle and containing two inkwells and covers. The base with a relief moulded basketweave design decorated with gilt sprays and inset panels painted with floral groups. The top and covers also decorated with multicoloured sprays of garden flowers and gilt detail.
Date: Circa 1825.
Length: 5.25 inches (13.25 cm) Height including handle 4 inches (10 cm)
Condition: Retouched gilt to one end of handle, one inkwell resprayed inside, typical light wear from use.
