Minton cup and saucer


A fine Minton cup and saucer, 'Q' shape in the Minton pattern books, the cup with flared lip and high ring handle, both cup and saucer with leaf moulded rims decorated with gilt C-scrolls, stripes and cross hatching. The deep red and apricot  grounds painted with floral sprays all enhanced with rosettes, swirls and swags in typical Minton quality gilding.  Marked underneath with pattern number 6623.

Height: Cup: 2 1/8 inches (5.25 cm) Width 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm) Saucer: Width 5 5/8 inches (14.24 cm)
Condition: Very good with just the tiniest, barely noticeable, gilt wear to one small section of the saucer (see photos)
