Davenport bough pot and  cover

A fine Davenport bough pot and removable cover, the slightly concave flat backed pot with gilt ring handles, the bowed front decorated round with scattered gilt fronds, assorted foliage and pink roses, rose buds and other flowers against shaded sepia roundels, all within gilt bands. Impressed underneath with "Davenport" and an anchor. It should be noted that a sizeable proportion of bough pots of this age no longer have their covers.
