Pair Coalport tapersticks








A rare and attractive pair of Regency period Coalport tapersticks with ring handles and upturned thumb rests, each standing on a circular stepped base enhanced with gilt wreathing, the sconces well painted en grisaille with figures in a picturesque rural setting, all within fine gilt bands.
Date: Circa 1815
Height to top of thumbrests 2 7/8 inches (7.25 cm) Width of bases 2 3/8 inches (6 cm)
Condition: Very good, one with minor gilt wear to a small section of the bottom rim and each with very light gilt refreshing here and there to the tops and thumbrests
