Coalport cup and saucer

An attractive Regency period Coalport cup and saucer of London shape in a hard, greyish body, the cup decorated around the outside with a dark blue and gilt band and gilt  detail and to the inside, as with the deep saucer, with an intricate pattern of fronds, flowers and leaves all in a bright Imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red and gilt.

Date: Circa 1815

Height: Cup  2 inches (5 cm) Width: 3  1/2 inches (9 cm) Saucer: 5  5/8 inches (14. 25 cm)
Condition: Good with just a couple of very fine shrinkage flaws to the glaze only, not affecting the body.
