Derby inkwell

A fine Derby inkwell of drum shape with bold ring handle, five quill apertures and original  removable well, the rich dark blue ground decorated to the top with a continuous gilt design and all round with an elaborate pattern of high quality cross hatching swirling and scrolling gilding. Marked underneath in red with the circular Bloor Derby back stamp.

Width including handle: 5  3/4 inches (14. 5 cm) Height including handle: 3 inches (7.5 cm)
Condition: Very good, undamaged, unrestored and unworn, one small speck of kiln dust to the rim.
