Alcock double inkwell

A delightful and decorative Alcock double inkwell and cover of casket shape, the scrolled paw feet standing on a pierced rectangular plinth, the finial modelled as a flower head and leaves, the interior with two removable lidded wells, each lid having an applied flower bud and leaf finial.  The rich deep red ground decorated to the cover with bright garden flowers and to the base with cartouches of colourful floral sprays, all with gilt detail.

Condition: Very good with no restoration just a minor firing flaw under finial.
