A very attractive pair of Spode baluster shape tapersticks on spreading bases, decorated around the top and bottom with a raised gilt linked chain design, the rich maroon ground decorated with stylised strawberry leaves and berries and to the centre with a raised gilt long tailed bird among foliage. Marked underneath with impressed number 6 or 9 and hand painted in red  'Spode" and pattern number 3993.
