Pair Brown Westhead Moore plates

A very attractive pair of Brown Westhead Moore plates in the Minton manner, the pierced, arcaded borders rising from bands of moulded leaves, spearpoints and pearl beading, all enhanced with fine gilding. Bands of pale blue surround well painted scenes of rivers, trees and hills. Marked to the reverse with pattern number B2614.

The Brown Westhead  Moore partnership, formed in 1862, were successors to the old established and renowned porcelain manufacturers Ridgway.
