English porcelain pen tray
An unusual, rare and interesting English porcelain pen tray of deep boat shape standing on four gilded ball feet and strikingly decorated around, both inside and out, with a bold gilt chequerboard design. The interior brightly painted with full blown pink roses, rosebuds, morning glory and other colourful flowers and foliage.

Condition: Excellent, undamaged and unrestored, the gilding unworn with only a few typical light spots of wear to the rim from use. Remarkable condition for a useful item of this age.
