A fine Regency period Coalport inkwell and cover, the inkwell with two side containers, two quill holders and a candle sconce, the cover with strapped ring finial, the top with three quill holes and delicate anthemion gilding, the inkwell painted all round with a ruined building in a wooded and hilly landscape set against a pale yellow sky.

Width: 6 inches  (15 cm.) Overall height: 3 1/2 inches (9 cm.)
Condition: Minor restoration to cover and small chip to one quill holder otherwise very good.
