Minton inkwell

An extremely rare, interesting and unusual Minton porcelain inkwell modelled as a twin turreted castle, the reverse with three quill apertures, the whole painted and detailed in naturalistic colours , one turret containing an inkwell and cover, the other with a small covered pot probably for sealing wax.

Unmarked but see G. Godden " Minton 1793-1850", Plate 89, Shape number 43.
