A fine pair of Ridgway Regency period stoneware fruit baskets with wavy gilded rims, the handles well modelled as vine leaves and bunches of grapes, each basket with a pierced band of flowerhead discs and spirals. The interiors  decorated with colourful fruit, berries and foliage, all enhanced with gilding. Marked underneath with pattern number 970.
