Coalport chamberstick

A most attractive Coalport chamberstick (Anstice, Horton and Rose period) of fluted leaf form, the handle gently curled and the gilded baluster shaped sconce  rising from a moulded star foot. The base delicately painted in the manner of Thomas Brentnall with bright, colourful sprigs and sprays of garden flowers and foliage within a wavy gilt border. Marked under in red with pattern number 13(99) ?

Date: Circa 1815

Length: 4 inches (10cm)  Width: 3  1/2 inches (8.75 cm)  Height: 1  3/4 inches (4.5cm)

Condition: Very good, undamaged and unrestored; minor spots of crazing to bottom of sconce and typical light gilt wear from two centuries of handling,  especially under the curled handle from many years of forefingers and thumbs.....
