Grainger Worcester Centrepiece

A fine, decorative and imposing Grainger Worcester centrepiece standing on a frilled, spreading pedestal foot. The split and scrolled handles highlighted in gilt, the bowl with wavy, scrolled borders and both bowl and foot with kidney shaped piercings. The pale yellow ground decorated with trailing gilt detail, leaves, ears of wheat and scenic vignettes within C-scrolled reserves. The centre painted with a large pastoral scene of figures in a wooded and hilly landscape. Unmarked but from a service with pattern number 1476X conforming to the description in the Grainger Worcester pattern books.
