A good early 19th. century Coalport taperstick with ring handle and gently curving thumbrest all on a stepped and spreading base. The sconce decorated around with intricate vermicular gilding above a band of gilt Meander (Greek Key) decoration.

Height:  Including thumbrest,  3  1/4 inches (8.25 cm)

Condition: Undamaged and unrestored with just a few spots of gilt wear to the sconce and rims from two centuries of use (see photos)
