English porcelain tureen and cover

A colourful English porcelain tureen and cover attributed to the Staffordshire factory of R & J Clews, standing on a circular foot, both the bowl and cover moulded round with moulded wreaths and double barred C- scrolls, the finial modelled as a gold flower head and all boldly painted with groups of garden flowers, foliage and scattered brightly coloured flying insects .

Date: Circa 1825.
Height: 6 inches  (15.5 cm)  Width: 6 inches (15.5 cm)
Condition: Very good with no restoration or repair, just a few small flakes from the wide gilt rim and a small underglaze tear.
