A good Regency period Coalport taperstick with ring handle and curving thumbrest all on a spreading and stepped base, the gently shaped sconce decorated around with a pattern of swirls and circles all in a typical Imari palette of cobalt blue and red all enhanced with gilding.

Date: Circa 1810

Height: 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) including thumbrest

Condition: Good and undamaged with just a little wear to the handle from many years of use and some light refreshing of the gilt detail around the sconce and foot.
